Our travel guides are built from our own trips, including the practical details that are easy to miss when planning.
What things cost, how we got around, what was worth booking, what we'd skip and the little things that made travelling easier.
We went. We paid. Here's what we learned.

Lost luggage doesn’t just happen to “other people.”
And when it does? A ripped-off baggage tag is often the reason.
Here’s a simple travel tip we’ve used for years:
Instead of relying only on an external luggage tag (which can snap off in transit), pin or tuck a small cloth label insideyour suitcase.
Secure it to the inside lining or under the interior flap — somewhere airline staff can easily find it, but not visible from the outside.
If your outer tag disappears, baggage agents can still identify and return your suitcase faster.

What to see, where to go and the practical things we learned along the way.

What we learned about the ships, cabins, ports and excursions, including what we'd book again and what we'd skip.

From booking flights to navigating airports, connections and baggage, these are the lessons we've learned getting from here to there.

Where we stayed, what stood out and whether the experience was worth what we paid.

Packing, money, phones, insurance and the practical details worth sorting out before you leave home.

Useful little things we've picked up along the way that can make travelling easier, more comfortable and less stressful.
